What is Carbolite ?
The Carbolite technology concerns a process of agglomerating carbonaceous fines and other fine materials, like filter dust and recycle streams.
Carbolite is a proprietary technology owned by Danieli Corus but licensed to us.
The Carbolite technology is based on the Aardelite process (also proprietary know-how of Danieli Corus) in which coal fly-ash is converted into artificial aggregate. During the years 4 Aardelite plants have been built. The Aardelite plant in Crystal River has been in operation since 1988.
